The Dunfanaghy Boxing Club was started in 1974 . The Trainer's are Eddie Harkin, Patrick Durning,  Joe Harkin and John Boyle. Down the years Dunfanaghy had a number of All Ireland Champions, Ulster Champions, and Donegal Champions.
