The Minor Board

 St. Michael's minor board was established in January 1994 to co-ordinate the efforts put into under-age football. The first undertaking was the setting up of our now renowned Parish League. The Parish League  started in 1994 and has been in operation every years so far which  provided opportunities for all  young Gaelic Footballers from 6 to 16 years. The Parish League has on average 200 players per year,  not to talk of the organisation,  Referees,  Managers, linesman and the Suporters, etc.

The inaugural minor board was chaired by Liam Mc Elhinney, with Josephine Stewart as secretary, Marjorie Mc Fadden as treasurer and Bernadette Mc Fadden as  PRO. Backed up by Brid Gallagher, Noel Toye, Colm Mc Fadden, Rose Toye.

St. Michael's  minor board is responsible for all under age football, The Parish League teams are Ards, Creeslough, Drimnaraw, Dunfanaghy, Faugher, Glassan, Kildarragh, Murroe. The County Champoinships U-10 + U-12 + U-14  + U16 and up  to the Minors U-18, The School of Excellence, Development Squad U-16, The Creeslough Sports Day, The GAA. Summer Camp, Scor na nOg.

The Paddy Coll factor. Paddy has started the under age football for the girls and has fielded a number of teams U-12, U-14, and U-16. and their will be more.  

The level of participation and hard work within the club and the enormous goodwill of the whole community especially the parents, children and supporters makes the thing all worth while.
