2015/02/10 - Etaoin Friel in GAA. World Games in Abu Dabi.

 

   

 

Etaoin Friel from Creeslough (St. Michael's Gaa.) to represent Australasia at the World Games in Abu Dhabi. Now living in Wellington, New Zealand Etaoin will play in the first GAA World Games in the United Arab Emirates.

Etaoin is the daughter of Columba and Mary Friel Creeslough, Co. Donegal.

Of late Etaoin was joined by three Donegal girls Eimear Rodden from Creeslough and Denise and Joiene McLaughlin sisters from Quigleys Point.

2012/09/23 - All Ireland Senior Final. Donegal 2 - 11 v 0 -13 Mayo.

Donegal Senior Team won their the All Ireland Senoir Final for the 2nd time last was in1992. Six St. Michael's men helped to collected    Sam Maguire and six All Ireland Medels Colm Anthony Mc Fadden, Martin McElhinney, Christy Toye, Dannel McLaughlin, Peter Whitherow and Antoin McFadden.



2012/07/22 - Ulster Senior Final. Donegal. 2-18 v 0-13 Down.


Donegal Senior Team won their the Senoir Ulster Final making it two in a row. Four St. Michael's men played: Colm Anthony Mc Fadden, Martin McElhinney, Christy Toye and Dannel McLaughlin.

2010 - County Final U21 GAA.  (Played on the 2011/1/30)

St. Michael U21 team reached the  Donegal U21 GAA. County Final for the second year in row but lost out to Naomh Conaill.

2010. - Donegal Ladies Team Won All Ireland. The Donegal Intermediate Ladies Team Won The All Ireland by beating  Waterford, Donegal 2 -12. -- Waterford 0 -16 at Croke Park on Sunday 26th September 2010. Two St. Micheal's ladies involved Bridget Gallagher and Karen Feeney.

2010. - St. Michael's Opened The Clubhouse 22/8/2010. The official opening  was preformed  by P. J. McGowan  County Donegal GAA Chairman.

2006/8/9 - GAA. Three Creeslough Boys in Croke Park

  1.   Christy Toye (10) Captain led the Donegal Senior team on Croke Park in the Ulster Final against Armagh. Donegal 0 - 9  Armagh 1 - 9. Cristy scored 0 -1.

  2. Martin McElhinney (10) on the Donegal Minor team on Croke Park in the ESB. Ulster Final against Antrim.   Donegal 2 - 12 Antrim 1 - 5. Martin scored 2 - 1.

  3. Peter Sweeney (1) Glassan NS, on the Donegal mini team on Croke Park Cumann na mBunscol. Donegal 1 - 1 Armagh 1 - 1.

2006. GAA. St. Michaeal's Minor Team Traveled to  London to play Tirconaill Gaels on the St. Patrick's Day weekend and win by 2 points. It was organised by Hugh O'Donnell & Paul Coggins. The also took in the Donegal (1-21) V London (0-4) match in Ruslip.

2006. GAA  Donegal Senior Team.  Cristy Toye the new captain of the Donegal Team. On Sunday 29th January in the  first round of The National League Division 2A he scored 2 points to draw with Letrim .  Donegal   0 -11 : Leitrim 1-8

2005/8/10 - The Boston BoysTwo Creeslough men Colm Anthony Mc Fadden and Christy Toye of St Michaels and Donegal fame have gone to Boston USA to play Gaelic Football. Mc Fadden to play for Donegal and Toye to play for Armagh. 

GAA Ulster Railway Cup Team  Cristy Toye the only Donegal man to make Brian Mc Eniff Ulster Team scored 4 points. Leinster  won.

GAA Waterford Crystal Awards Colm Antony Mc Fadden man of the match.  Donegal v Armagh.

GAA  Northwest Division 1 Minor Final   St Michael's  0 -11  Glenswilly   0 -10 

Hugh O'Donnell,s Team  winners at the Burnroad Termon where Michael Murphy score 8 of the 10 Glenswilly points. St Michael's captain  Kieran Gallagher was presented  with The Cup by  Jim Quinn Donegal Minor Board.

GAA Ulster Captain Special Merit Award for Anton Mc Fadden St Eunan's College Letterkenny.

Athletics. Bridie Trearty Drumnaraw, Creeslough, had being picked for The Irish Masters Athletics Team. at the trials in Phoenix Park Dublin in October. Bridie is a member of the Cranford  Athletics Club.

Irish Dancing On Sunday 14th August at the Wild Rose Feis in Manorhamilton, Co Letrim Roisin Ferry Creeslough was the overall winner of the 8-10 age group.

Soccer Donegal U15  Won the Glasgow City Cup in Glasgow, Donegal -  4   Motherwell -1. Four Creeslough men on the team Anton McFadden, Ryan Langan, Dannel McLaughlin, Eric Roberts. The Donegal Team had just returned from Cardiff where they reached the final of the "The Three Nations Soccer Tournament."

Boxing Irish Champion  Christy Boyle Won a third Irish Juvenile Title's. Yes Christy Boyle was fullback on the U-15 GAA. winning team against Glenties.

 Donegal U16 Ladies Donegal U16 Ladies reached the All Ireland Final by defeating Galway at Markevicz Park in Sligo. on 26th June, Bridget Gallagher from St. Micheal's playing at midfield and scored  1 - 3.  The final score     Donegal 3 - 10 to  Galway 3 -9

 Donegal Senior Team. Three St. Michael's men on the panel Brian Mc Laughlin, Christy Toye and Colm Anthony Mc Fadden. All three  started in the first round of the Championship against Antrim in Ballybofey on Sunday 30th. May.  Donegal  1 -15.  Antrim 1 - 9.

 Parish League Finals. On Sunday 23rd. May at the Bridge  in Dunfanaghy at 1:30 pm. The band led all the teams on th the field for the 10th Parish League Finals. Presentation of medals by our County man Brian Mc Laughlin

 

2003. 

Boxing Irish Championship  for Gerard Gallagher.

 Donegal Senior Team.  in the All Ireland Semi-Final in Croak Park went down to the boys from the Co Armagh by 2-10. 1-9 Three St. Michael's men on the panel Brian Mc Laughlin, Christy Toye and Colm Anthony Mc Fadden. Cristy Toye a regular starter and scored a goal in Croak Park against Armagh.

2003/11/10 - St. Michael's Gaa. / Naomh Micheal    (Creeslough / Dunfanaghy)

St. Michael's Intermediate Team

On Sunday 10th (the fair day) November 2003 in O'Donnell Park, Letterkenny under the Management of Danny Lafferty and his advisors Noel Toye and Joe Higgins. The St. Michael victory over Carndonagh on the day was 0 -18 to 0 - 5. winning them their first intermediate title. On route to the final they overcame Muff, Malin, Bundoran.

Brian Mc Laughlin Team Captain was presented the Trophy by the Donegal Senior Team Manager and County Chairman Brian Mc Eniff. Danny Lafferty's men went on to complete the season by winning the Division 2 League Title, not having lost a game all year.

St. Michael's Intermediate Reserve Team 

On Sunday 2 November 2003 St. Michael's Reserve's reached the Intermediate Reserve County Final in MacCumhaill Park Ballybofey. And putting up a good show went down to Urris by a single point . Team Manager Tommy Mc Ginley said they were disappointed but felt they did well to reach the Final and were runnerup in the League.

 McClarnon Cup. St Eunan's College beat St Columb's College Derry in Casement Park, Belfast on the 17th. March, 2000. Three St Michael's players were John McClafferty,  Colm Anthony McFadden and Danny Sheridan 

 Donegal Development Squad. Eamonn McBride, Liam Gallagher and Shaun Stewart have been selected. 

 U-21 County Panel  Patrick Stewart has been selected.

 Selected for Ireland Versus Australia Coca-Cola U-17 International Rules Series.  Colm Anthony McFadden. This is the first time ever for Ireland to beat Australia in this age group.

 International Compromise Rules Panel.  Christy Toye and Colm Anthony McFadden have being selected.
